After designing for high street retailers such as labels Zara and El Corte Ingles in Spain, the United Kingdom and Australia, Nieves decided it was time to launch his own label, which satisfies his creative passion and served with your ethical ideals.

Nieves discovered a project in Mumbai, which helps to educate women in poor areas so they can earn their own income to support themselves and feed their families. Using his design experience and ethical fervor, Nieves lived among the families to know the women on the cooperation and experience first hand the daily struggle, and together they created Bibico spring / summer 09 collection. Inspired by the colors and fabrics with long hot summers and Indian styles of the Mediterranean, Bibico SS09 collection features easy-to-wear dresses, tops and dresses all made using Fairtrade processes.
